There’s a new “A” on TV.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin Debuts July 28 HBO Max, Introducing viewers to a new crop of liars— including Bailey Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zariah, Malia Pyles and Maia Refico—who are Scared by a masked assailant.
Why? Well, the streamer’s description for the series sums it up best, sharing, “Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events nearly tore the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a group of different teenage girls find themselves tormented by the unknown AThe attackers and their parents have paid the price for the secret sins they committed two decades ago… as well as themselves.”
So, this new “A” may or may not have something to do with the tragic death of Angela Waters in 1999. For example, in the premiere episode, we learn that Karen (Mallory Bechtel) hates Imogen (Madison) for kissing her boyfriend. He and Suspiciously delivers the first note from “A.” As a result, Imogen’s mother committed suicide.
Karen is later killed by “A,” but could the culprit be her equally motivated sister Kelly (also played by Bechtel)? Could they have been in pain together?
Karen and Kelly’s father is also a suspect, as the corrupt sheriff (Eric Johnson) seems to be of the vengeful sort. Oh, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention Karen’s boyfriend Greg (Ilias Kakavas). He appears relatively innocent, but he is by doing There is a tendency to stir the pot.
