The Interrupters explain how they started telling their ‘life stories’

Interruption is somewhat poetic Obstructive. “We took a break from editing our next music video that we’re going to release a song from the album to have this hangout,” guitarist Kevin Bivona said as he and Amy Interrupter, vocalist and songwriter for the band, talk to HollywoodLife. The beloved ska-punk band – featuring Kevin’s brother, twins Justin and Jessie Bivona – is in the final stages before the release. The chat comes during an increasingly rare free time for the group. The day before talking to HL, the group played Jimmy Kimmel Live!, fulfilling a bucket list entry by meeting guest host RuPaul. They finished the first half of their North American co-headlining tour with Flogging Molly three weeks ago. Two days later In The Wild Released (August 5), the group will begin a run of European shows, including a mini-tour of the UK then, in September, they’ll return to the States to kick off the West Coast leg of the Flogging Molly tour. It all culminates with an appearance at Aftershock 2022 in October.

Through it all, albums will be released, merchandise will drop, videos will premiere and songs will be streamed on repeat by fans who deeply connect with soulful music and personal lyrics.
