‘American Idol’: 2 contestants tested positive for COVID-19 before the top 7

Fritz Hager And Noah Thompson He tested positive for coronavirus before the May 8 episode American Idol. Host Ryan made the announcement at the beginning of the sequel. He explained that Noah began to feel sick earlier in the week and would perform virtually from his hotel room. Fritz’s symptoms started around the live show, so he had to use his rehearsal footage for two performances.

Noah and Fritz were in the top seven of the show’s 20th season. All seven performers had to perform twice during the Mother’s Day episode, which ended with two being eliminated and only five going ahead. The first performance of the night was a viral tick tock song, and the second was a song dedicated to the singers’ mother.

Throughout the season, Noah and Fritz have won the hearts of judges and fans. Viewers have voted for them week after week since the live show began. The other five contestants on the show are Huntergirl, Leah Marlen, Jay Copeland, Christian Guardino and Nicolina. All five were COVID-19 free and were able to perform live as planned. The group was suggested by will.i.am this week.

Fritz chose to sing an original song for his viral tick-tock track. Although it was only rehearsal footage, he impressed the judges with his performance. Fritz played the electric guitar while he sang with the band. Although Fritz was not in person to see it, all three judges stood and greeted him. He made a video call and said he was feeling “good”,
