Adele Keep A Child Alive's 5th Annual Black Ball at Hammerstein Ballroom, New York, USA - 13 November 2008 Stars hit the New York red carpet last night for a good cause.  Justin Timberlake, Jessica Alba, Tyra Banks, Elijah Woods, Iman and David Bowie were just a few who stepped out for Keep A Child Alive's 5th Annual Black Ball.  The event was hosted by singer and actress Alicia Keys to support the organization, which provides life-saving antiretroviral treatment, care and support services to children living with HIV/AIDS and their families in Africa and the developing world.  Iman co-hosted the cocktail party, which was followed by a live auction and dinner in the Hammerstein Ballroom.  On the night, Queen Latifah was honored for her humanitarian work, as was Simon Fuller, the brains behind 'Idol Gives Back'.  There were also musical performances by Justin Timberlake, Chris Daughtry, Adele and Emmanuelle Zelk.

When she announced her new album, Adele admitted that the time they worked together was the “most turbulent” time of her life.

However, at the time, Adele used her energy to focus on herself and her nine-year-old son, Angelo. After changing her lifestyle, Adele was able to lose 100 pounds and she looks incredible! More importantly, though, the singer seems her happiest and most confident in recent months. A the boss On Nov. 14 with Oprah Winfrey, the superstar admitted that she’s always been “body positive,” even when she was heavier, and that her weight loss was more about dealing with her anxiety than actually losing weight. He said, “I was attacked terribly after marriage. “I was paralyzed by them. I had no control of my body.”

Adele has opened up about how her mental health was affected after the news of her marriage ending went public. In an interview with Dr The Rolling Stones, he admitted to “intense weeks of bedridden anxiety” at the time. It was this destructive anxiety that pushed Adele to work on her physical strength.
